Demarius Jacobs – Confidence 72%

Demarius Jacobs is a 6-foot-2, 165-pound guard who currently attends Hillcrest Prep in Phoenix, Arizona but is originally from the Chicago area. He is rated as a three-star recruit who is the No. 305 player in the class of 2018 and the No. 3 player in the state of Arizona.

This one time Southern Illinois commit now has his recruitment back open and it is paying off. Jacobs continues to gain recruiting attention from different areas on the map. He has an offer from Illinois and they are projected to be the leader for him right now. Arizona State, Saint Louis and Western Kentucky are close behind, though.

Illinois could always use more guard help and that is what Jacobs would bring to the table. My biggest worry with him right now would be the lack of scholarship offers. Illinois currently sits with two offers available and there some bigger needs on the table.

I could see Illinois landing Jacobs, though. He is a much-underrated talent and I assume more scholarships will come in for him in the next few months. Having the location factor and being in the Big Ten, these two things have to be big bonuses for the Illini.
