The Illinois football team has put together a solid class of 2018 so far. But, they are not finished by any means.

Illinois still has a few “big fish” to catch and some other recruits who should help the program win some ball games in the future. They need to land these players in order to have the recruiting class that I am looking for.

I love what Illinois has brought in so far. They have 20 commitments and 18 of those recruits signed during the first every early signing period back in December. All of these players will be special for the Illini and hopefully, they will contribute to more wins in 2018.

The top of the class for the Illini turned out pretty well. They secured two four-star recruits and a few others who could have easily been on that level. The “bottom” of the class is quality as well. Everyone in-between will contribute big snaps for this program.

Let’s not ignore the facts, though. Illinois needs to add some more players to this class. There are some big ones left out there and they need to land them by February 7. This is the official National Signing Day.

Here are six Illini recruits I will be watching for on National Signing Day.
