3. Trent Frazier is good, like really good

If you haven’t already realized, the Illinois basketball team has a superstar on their hands. Trent Frazier is developing a name for himself, and he is on the verge of having one of the greatest freshmen seasons in Illinois basketball history.

Frazier continued his tear on Wednesday night against Indiana. He ended the game with 19 points and three assists on 7-of-15 shooting from the field. He was also 2-of-6 from the three-point arc as well.

Illinois doesn’t win the game last night without Frazier. He has truly been one of the best players for the Illini this season and should be a starter for the rest of his career in Champaign. There isn’t a game that goes by where I am not amazed by what Frazier can do on the court.

Over the last 12 games, Frazier has been on fire. He has averaged 16.1 points per game in that span. Underwood moving him up into the starting role early on in the season was one of the best moves he could have made as a head coach. Get Frazier experience now and see what he can do.

Now the Illini have another big piece moving forward. Next season, Frazier will be even better and the Illini are going to be NCAA tournament-bound because of it.
