2. Quinten Dormady

Illinois has had some success with the state of Texas the last few classes. Lovie has done a great job picking out some talented players. A graduate transfer from this state is Quinten Dormady.

Dormady is a 6-foot-4, 222-pound quarterback from Boerne, Texas. He was with the Tennessee Volunteers the last three seasons but never could secure the starting job. His best season was last year when he threw for 925 yards, six touchdowns and six interceptions. Now Dormady wants to find a new home and Illinois could be a good landing spot

Coming out of high school, Dormady was a highly rated recruit. He was rated as a four-star recruit who was the No. 271 player in the class of 2015 and the No. 40 player in the state of Texas.

The recruitment of Dormady has started all over with the announcement he wants to transfer. I don’t know if Illinois is in the market for a transfer, but Dormady would have one year of eligibility remaining. He also has high-level experience as well.

If Illinois does go after a transfer for a season, I would be a fan of getting someone like Dormady. He has a good arm and could really use the talented wide receivers for the Illini well.
