3. Trent Frazier could be the best guard since Dee Brown

I know, some of you read this headline and say wow, this guy is crazy. Am I, though? The statement of Trent Frazier being the best guard since Dee Brown has to do with how good he is and how bad the Illini guards have been since Brown.

Frazier continued his tear last night being an electric player off the bench. He is a sensational scorer of the ball. If he doesn’t make a shot – he struggled last night shooting 5-of-17 – he will get to the free throw line to get points for his team. This is what a leader does on the basketball court.

There are times I have yelled at the tv screen when Frazier has done some crazy things like taking on a triple team while chucking up a floater, but I will take the bad with the good. And trust me, there is a lot of good with Frazier.

Frazier finished the night with 22 points and three steals. He was a great player for this team. He ended up getting to the free throw line for 11 shots and made 10 of them. That is great for this team. They needed points and he was the one to provide them.

Moving forward, I want to see Frazier as one of the main options. I will get to that later, though. He is a superstar in the making and I can’t wait to see his career develop.
