The Illinois football team is having a big week for recruiting. They just had all of their recruits up for official visits this past weekend, and now the first early signing period is upon us.

There are some recruits who will not be signing during the early signing period, but then there will be some recruits who will put ink to paper and make things official. The Illini need players to sign now. The longer they don’t have a signature from recruits, the more likely another coach will try to snatch them away.

Illinois has confirmation that some recruits will be signing. Included in this bunch of players are some of the “top” recruits in the nation. Illinois hasn’t seen talent like this come in from a recruiting class in years. But, they have their sights set on a talented class.

The Illini also might have a big-time recruit commit and sign on Friday as well. I didn’t list Verdis Brown on here because he hasn’t committed to Illinois, but all signs point to him picking the Illini. He has confirmed with me he will be signing on Friday as well.

Excitement is in the air for Illini fans. Big things are happening with this program. Getting players to commit is huge right now. Here are the commits who are set to sign their National Letter of Intent.
