There is a lot of work left for the Illinois football team to complete the class of 2018.

This is a class that has a chance to be legendary in the history of the Illinois program. There is already a nice foundation of talented players committed among the 13 pledges so far. I really like Calvin Avery and how he is going to help the defensive line.

Coran Taylor and MJ Rivers are going to be putting pressure on the current Illinois quarterbacks for the starting job in 2018. My bet is that Rivers takes the gig but you never know. The competition is going to be fun to watch.

The Illinois offensive line will continue to be bolstered with the addition of some talented big men like Jordyn Slaughter, Kievan Myers, Julian Pearl and Braeden Daniels. Watch for these four players to do some great things for this Illini team in the future.

But, Illinois isn’t done recruiting yet. They still have quite a few spots to be filled. The coaching staff has put in the work to land some big fish that are still left. There are many players that I think Illinois could use in 2018.

All recruits are important for the Illini, but here are four Illini recruits who would move the needle.
