Illinois Football: 5 keys to beating the Nebraska Cornhuskers
The Illinois football team enters this weekend with a 2-1 record and looking to knock off the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Champaign.
It is a weird kickoff with the game being on Friday night at 7:00 PM CT. Hopefully, the crowds will be rowdy and the Illini can feed off that energy and win the game.
There are many ways the Illini can attack this Nebraska team. They need to take a look at what went wrong in the South Florida thumping and then tweak what needs to be tweaked. The Cornhuskers come into this game against Illinois with a 2-2 record but their wins are against Arkansas State and Rutgers, both at home. Their two losses are at Oregon and then at home against Northern Illinois. This is a very vulnerable team and the Illini need to find their weaknesses and attack at the right times.
There are weaknesses in the Illinois game as well. They need to tighten some things up and really focus on not turning the ball over and getting first downs. Their offense killed them against South Florida.
