Illinois Basketball: Projected Illini roster for 2020 season

The Illinois basketball team has yet to play a single game under the leadership of new head coach Brad Underwood.

This season should be fun to watch as an Illini fan. The impact Underwood has made in the short time he has been with the program is nice to see. He has built confidence in the fan base and the program with his personality and the ability to land the 2017 Illinois Mr. Basketball, Mark Smith.

If Underwood can manage to land that talented of a player in a matter of months of being in Champaign, then what can he do with years of recruiting? That is why I want to put out the possible roster for the Illini in 2020.

Over the next three recruiting classes, Underwood has a chance to bring in some extremely talented recruits who will help this team reach heights we haven’t seen in over a decade. That is exciting and there are some good times ahead for Illinois fans.

The roster for 2020 will have a few names you will recognize but most of the players will be from the class of 2018, 2019 and even some from 2020. That is how far I am projecting out in the recruiting world.
