No. 3 Guard-Forward

Starter: Ayo Dosunmu

The No. 1 target for the class of 2018 is Ayo Dousnmu. He is a must-get for Underwood and a player who would start year one for the Illini. He is a top 40 player in the nation as well. I have him slotted in as the starting No. 3 guard-forward on this team. Of course, he would be a guard at this position and a tremendous scorer as well.

Backup: Talen Horton-Tucker

One of the most underrated players in the class of 2018 is Talen Horton-Tucker. This kid has the talent to be top 100 but he was a late bloomer. He is now being hounded by many big-time programs. It would be nice if Illinois snagged Horton-Tucker because he does bring a lot to the table. He is built like a beast and can get to the basket. He would be a great backup to Dosunmu in 2018.

Backup: Aaron Jordan

The senior season for Aaron Jordan would, hopefully, be a good one. He still has to play his junior year this upcoming season, and he has a chance to show the new coaching staff he belongs in the lineup. In 2018, though, I think he ends up being a backup and seeing somewhere around 10 minutes or less per game. He has talent but needs to prove his basketball worth this year.
