4. Amadou Sow (Confidence: 3 out of 10)

The paint is a big issue for the Illini in 2018 and beyond. They don’t have much in the way of solid depth at the No. 4 and No. 5 spots but getting a player like Amadou Sow could help with that problem.

Sow is a 6-foot-9, 225-pound power forward from Prolific Prep High School in Napa, California. He is rated as a three-star recruit who is the No. 192 player according to Scout and the No. 223 player according to 247Sports in the class of 2018. He is also the No. 20 player in the state of California as well.

The recruitment of Sow has started to heat up over the last few months. He was relatively unknown but has started to get offers from teams like California and Pittsburgh. The projected top three for Sow right now is Illinois, California and Pittsburgh. This will be a tough recruitment for the Illini, though.

Sow seems to be intrigued by the recent Pittsburgh offer and he lives in on the west coast, so California is a big-time option for him as well. This is why it will be hard for the Illini to snag this talented big man. Illinois does have a need at that position, though. They can pitch that to Sow and, hopefully, they can land him.
