George Conditt

Another big man Underwood and the Illinois coaching staff is pursuing is George Conditt. He is a 6-foot-10, 200-pound center from Corliss High School in Chicago Illinois. He isn’t ranked by the recruiting services either but his recruitment has exploded in the last few months. He has a multitude of offers including from programs like Washington, Colorado and Iowa State.

Pros

Conditt has a little Michael Finke in him. He can shoot from the outside as a big man and that will make him a tough guard. He can also drive as well, which will help when defenders over-pursue on his three-point shot.

The shot blocking ability is another great area for Conditt. He is extremely long and that will benefit the Illini tremendously in the paint when opposing teams try to drive.

Cons

There are two areas that worry me slightly when it comes to Conditt. The first area being his size. While he is 6-foot-10 with a great reach, he is only 200-pounds. He needs to get bigger if he wants to bang around with Big Ten centers.

The other thing that worries me a little is his rebounding ability. Conditt isn’t a tremendous rebounder for his size, yet. He needs to be taught some technique on how to rebound with his size. That will come at Illinois, though.
