No. 5 Center/Forward

Starter: George Conditt

As of right now, the third player for the class of 2018 looks to be big man George Conditt. He is a late-blooming 6-foot-10, 200-pound center who is starting to pick up a lot of scholarship offers. He is going to be a good player and someone Underwood would love to have on the team.

Conditt would likely start at the No. 5 spot for the Illini because of his size and athletic ability. He is fun to watch on tape and it shows that he has a good shooting touch from just about anywhere on the court. He isn’t currently ranked but he continues to gain momentum in the recruiting game. There is even one recruiting expert who says he is shocked Conditt hasn’t committed already.

Backup: Matic Vesel

Illinois secured a 2017 commitment from Matic Vesel. This kid is a big man from Slovenia. He is a 6-foot-9, 200-pound power forward who will be used in Underwood’s system.

There are a few sneaky pickups for the Illini in 2017. Vesel is one of those sneaky recruits who could turn out to be a great get for the Illini. Hopefully, he works out to be a big contributor for this team in 2017 and 2018.

Backup: Greg Eboigbodin

Another fun big man the Illini snagged for 2017 is Greg Eboigbodin. He is a 6-foot-9, 220-pound power forward from Detroit, Michigan. I think he could be a sneaky pickup for the Illini as well. He is only rated as a two-star recruit but just watching him perform makes me excited about his future. Illinois landed an underrated recruit in Eboigbodin.
