Brad Underwood and the Illinois basketball team is set to have a great class of 2018.

The class of 2017 set the groundwork for future classes to put the Illini over the top and get this program back to prominence. Illinois hasn’t been to the NCAA tournament in five years and that drought has to end this season.

There is so much speculation on who will sign up for the class of 2018, though. I think I have put out about eight different possible lineups for 2018 so far, but they are all because of certain things I hear among the recruiting world. This lineup that you are about to go through is what will likely to be the result of three players committing from the class of 2018.

From what I have heard, some people are shocked that certain recruits from 2018 haven’t committed yet. These players would help the Illini tremendously moving forward. There are also other recruits who are so highly rated; Illinois will have to fight for them against some of the best teams in the nation.

Recruiting would be made a lot easier if Illinois was successful this season, though. Underwood has some talent on his hands and I want to see what he can do with it. But, the class of 2018 will help the Illini get over the hump and possibly get back to the Sweet 16.

Here is the projected lineup for the 2018-19 season.
