Aaron Jordan

There are a lot of guards on this basketball team and one of the more underrated players is Aaron Jordan. He was a guard last season who was lost on the bench because of a coaching staff who didn’t know what they were doing on the basketball court.

The leadership at Illinois has since changed hands and this will give Jordan a fresh start. If he doesn’t succeed with the Illini this time it will be on him. He has every opportunity in the book now and it is time for him to step his game up.

Jordan now has a handful of guards ahead of him, though. He will have to show Underwood he is better than some of them or at least good enough to take some minutes for him to get more action. Look for him to still get around 10 minutes per game. He has enough talent to warrant some minutes from day one.

There aren’t a ton of people willing to give Jordan another chance. Many have written him off already but I have not. This kid has talent and he will show the world he belongs with the Illini this upcoming season under Coach Underwood.
