Trent Frazier

The class of 2017 brought a handful of great guards to the Illinois basketball team. One of those great guards is named Trent Frazier.

Frazier enters the program as a four-star recruit who is in the top 100 among all the class of 2017 prospects. He also won the 9A Player of the Year honors in the state of Florida as well. This kid is ready to play basketball in the Orange and Blue and fans are excited about the possibilities.

It will be extremely difficult to predict how Underwood will divide out the minutes for the upcoming season. Looking back at his Oklahoma State team last season, there has to be 117.2 minutes accounted for from his guards.

Frazier isn’t likely to start for this Illinois team but he will see some important minutes off the bench. Illinois has three guards ahead of him who either played well last season or are more highly touted coming from the high school or transfer ranks.

Look for Frazier to see something like 15 minutes per game this season. In that time, he will likely average around four points and three assists per game. Those aren’t terrible stats by any means and the Illini will need him this upcoming season.
