2. Kam Scott Top 6

Since Lovie took over the Illinois football program, the team has turned into an attractive destination for good wide receivers. The class of 2017 was filled with talented pass catchers, and Lovie has more from 2018 looking to possibly make their way to Champaign.

Kam Scott is next on this list. He has cut his recruitment down to just six teams he will be choosing from. Those six teams include Iowa State, Missouri, Louisville, Baylor, Tulsa and Illinois. Getting a player of Scott’s caliber would be big for the Illini.

Scott comes in as a 6-foot-1.5, 156-pound wide receiver from Manvel High School in Manvel, Texas. He is rated as a three-star recruit who is the No. 497 player in the class of 2018 and the No. 67 player in the state of Texas. This would be a great get for the Illini because Scott is close to being a four-star recruit.

Illinois could also use some wide receiver help as well. They have five on the roster right now and two more coming in from the class of 2017. By the time 2018 rolls around that number will drop from a total of seven to six with the graduate of Malik Turner. That means there is plenty of playing time available for anyone who can show they are worth it on the football field.
