Team 6: Frank Williams, Cory Bradford, Robert Archibald

Illinois basketball really gained a resurgence in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s with some talented players coming to Champaign. These players helped kick start a decade of dominance.

The team of Frank Williams, Cory Bradford and Robert Archibald could very possibly be the best 3-on-3 team. Williams would be the main ball handler on this team. He came into the program and was a star from day one. He averaged over 11 points per game in every season he was in Champaign. He finished his career averaging 14.3 points, 4 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. He was one of the best all-around players this team has ever had.

Williams would be distributing the ball to arguably the greatest three-point shooter in the history of the program. Cory Bradford set records with his three-point shooting abilities. He averaged 12.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2 assists per game during his career. He was also 38.8-percent from the three-point line as well. His deadly shooting would be scary in a 3-on-3 tournament.

The final member of this trio is big man, Robert Archibald. He stands at 6-foot-11 and was one of the more underrated players in Illini history. He averaged 10.6 points and 5.5 rebounds per game his senior season and played internationally as well. He would be able to dominate the paint against just about any Illini 3-on-3 team.

These three players could compete against any Illini 3-on-3 team. They all had special talents and fit perfectly together.
