Team 4: Deron Williams, Luther Head, James Augustine

The team that would be the odds-on favorite to win this 3-on-3 tournament would be Deron Williams, Luther Head and James Augustine. These three players are legendary in the history of the Illinois basketball program.

Williams would lead the way for the Illini with his all-around great play. He can do everything on the basketball court. During his senior season, Williams averaged 12.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game. He was one of the leaders for the Illini on their way to the national title game.

The scoring ability that Williams had was great. He was also a great distributor and that would help Head get wide open. Head started off his career at Illinois as a shaky shooter. He was shooting 29.1-percent from three-point range but by the time he was finished he was a legend. He finished his senior season averaging 15.9 points, 4 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game while shooting 41-percent from downtown. He would pair up amazingly with Williams.

James Augustine would be handling the big man duties for this team. He was one of the best centers to ever don the Orange and Blue. He finished his senior season averaging 13.6 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. His ability in the paint is what helped propel the Illini to the national title game.

These three great players would be my favorite to be the best 3-on-3 team in the history of the program. They all bring great talent to the table and would be difficult to beat.
