11. WR Theo Wease Jr.; Class of 2019

Illinois has a solid wide receiver core right now, and when 2019 rolls around they could have an even better one. The Illini have offered a scholarship to Theo Wease Jr. He is a 6-foot-3, 189-pound wide receiver from Allen High School in Allen, Texas. He isn’t ranked by the 247Sports composite but the site has him as a four-star recruit who is the No. 32 player the class of 2019 and the No. 3 player in the state of Texas.

If Illinois can get their name in the Wease sweepstakes it would be huge for the program. He is such a talented player with great size that will be dangerous on the outside. He currently has 28 scholarship offers and Oklahoma apparently leads for his commitment. Hopefully, the Illini can get into the running for this talented player and continue building a contender.

12. WR Ja’Kori Morgan; Class of 2018

The Illinois football team has a nice stable of wide receivers who will be around for the next few seasons. Lovie continues to go after more at the position because having depth is important. That might be the mindset behind offering Ja’Kori Morgan a scholarship. He is a 6-foot-2, 190-pound wide receiver from Clear Lake High School in Houston, Texas. He is ranked as a three-star recruit who is the No. 1148 player in the class of 2018 and the No. 161 player in the state of Texas.

Lovie is really trying to create the pipeline to the state of Texas. Even if they are only three-star recruits, creating that relationship with the coaches and team is crucial. Morgan currently has 10 scholarship offers, mostly from non-power five conference programs. This would still be a nice pickup for the Illini and hopefully, Lovie can close the deal.
