The Illinois basketball team continues to look for players to fill out their roster for the upcoming seasons.

These players need to be key pieces that either fill holes in the lineup or are game changers on the court. That is why Brad Underwood and the coaching staff have given out scholarship offers recently.

I fully trust what Underwood is doing with this team right now. The program has been in disarray for the last five-plus years and it finally seems like things are starting to get back on track.

The centers and guards that the Illini have offered over the last week have been an impressive bunch. I have already gone over these players and I think if the Illini can land a few over the next year or two, the program will be sitting in a great position.

In Underwood’s system, guards are extremely important to developing a winning team. They will move the ball and control the flow of the game. But, what this program really needs is a nice stable of forwards.

Illinois has handed out a lot of scholarship offers recently to forwards. These players are going to be important for the future because there will need to be depth for the Illini to succeed.

Here are the most recent scholarship offers to forwards.
