Tim Finke

Tim Finke and the MeanStreets took the court in the second session of the Nike EYBL. Throughout much of his high school and AAU career, Finke has been a streaky shooter and it showed during this session.

Finke played in four games over the weekend and his worst game he shot 23.1-percent from the field and his best game he shot 55.6-percent. That is such a wide margin of shooting efficiency. That is really my only worry with this kid. But, man, when he is on he is on.

In the final game for the MeanStreets, Finke showed why he belongs in the top 100 for the class of 2018. He dropped 27 points on 10-of-18 shooting. He was also 4-of-9 from the three-point arc as well.

I have no doubts Finke can continue to hone his game so he can put up those numbers on a nightly basis with the Illinois basketball team. He has the ability to shoot from anywhere on the court at a high volume. That is exactly what Underwood is looking for.

In addition to Finke being able to shoot, he can also rebound as well. He averaged 6.75 rebounds per game in session two and that is a huge bonus. Underwood could really use this kid on the floor next season.
