Ayo Dosunmu

I think arguably the most sought after recruit the Illinois basketball team is vying for is Ayo Dosunmu. He is a talented guard that can do just about anything on the basketball court.

Dosunmu is a five-star recruit from Morgan Park High School in Chicago, Illinois. He currently plays for the Mac Irvin Fire on the AAU circuit.

Scout has Dosunmu listed as the No. 21 player in the class of 2018 and the No. 5 point guard in the nation. He also has a multitude of scholarship offers including the likes of Xavier, Creighton and Florida State.

In the first game today for the Mac Irvin Fire, Dosunmu had a double-double putting up 17 points and pulling down 11 rebounds. He also added in another 3 assists as well.

The next game was even better for Dosunmu. He took his scoring ability up another notch and showed that he could get to the free throw line.

Dosunmu dropped 32 points on the Playground Elite and it was extremely efficient. He shot 9-of-14 from the field and 11-of-13 from the free throw line. This was an impressive game all around.

This is the type of talent that Illinois coaches knew he had and one of the big reasons why they want him. He is going to be a special player and I hope the Illini can land him.
