PF Steven Enoch

Heading into the future, the Illinois basketball team will be missing some size. This upcoming season will be rough at the center position because Jeremiah Tilmon will be the only man in the paint.

But, getting someone who can help back Tilmon up for the following season would be a good idea as well. That is why Steven Enoch would be a crucial get.

Enoch announced he was transferring from the University of Connecticut. He is a 6-foot-11, 258-pound power forward who is only a sophomore and would have two years of eligibility remaining after he sits out a year.

In the two years, Enoch was with the Huskies, he wasn’t exactly a superstar. The first year with Connecticut he only averaged 6.9 minutes, 1.6 points and 1.5 rebounds per game. These aren’t the best stats in the world.

The following season Enoch doubled his production while playing double the minutes. He averaged 12.1 minutes, 3.4 points and 2.3 rebounds per game during his sophomore campaign.

I want a player like Enoch so he can spell some minutes for Tilmon. That is going to be important so he doesn’t get burnt out while on the court. Getting Enoch to replace him for 10-15 minutes per game will help him tremendously throughout his time at Illinois.
