G Nisre Zouzoua

Illinois needs big man help heading into the future, but adding another talented guard would never hurt the program. That is why Nisre Zouzoua is so interesting as a potential transfer.

If Zouzoua would come to Illinois he would have to sit out a season and would be eligible for the 2018-19 campaign. He would also have two years of eligibility left.

According to Evan Daniels of Scout, Zouzoua has head from North Carolina State, Missouri, Arizona State, Maryland, Boston College and Illinois. Those are all teams that need more talent so it will be a tough get for the Illini.

Zouzoua spent the last two seasons with the Bryant Bulldogs. That isn’t a prestigious program but he has put up some amazing stats while there. As a freshman, he averaged 30.3 minutes, 12.8 points and 3.2 rebounds per game.

This past season, Zouzoua took his game to another level. He averaged 35.5 minutes, 20.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. This type of scoring production would be good on any one of the teams mentioned.

My concern about Zouzoua is there are only two scholarships left for 2017 and 2018 combined, as of right now. Unless a transfer or two happens, Illinois will need to be careful on how they use those scholarships. There are some talent players in the class of 2018 that I want the Illini to snag.
