Illinois currently has a lot of young talent at the wide receiver position, but there are not guarantees that any of those players will develop.

Having Lovie Smith bring in more wide receivers from the class of 2017 is important so there can be a competition to see who the best is.

Jordan Hill is an interesting wide receiver option for Lovie to recruit.  He is a nice player that would help add depth to the position.

Hill is listed as a 3-star wide receiver from Crosby, Texas.  He is the No. 1740 player in the class of 2017 and the No. 226 player in the state of Texas.

The Illini are one of the top teams after Hill right now.  He has 9 scholarship offers and the only other power five conference program I see is Kansas.

One of the big selling points to getting Hill is his size.  He stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 180-pounds.  Having someone that big on the outside would be huge for the Illini.

Hill’s recruitment still hasn’t finished up and I am assuming that he will be signing in early February on National Signing Day.
