I feel like the first six games this season can go the Illini way.  They are all winnable games and I have Illinois winning all of them.

But, when Illinois heads to Michigan on October 22 it could be ugly.

Michigan comes in with arguably the best head coach in college football.  What Jim Harbaugh has done in the short time with the program is pretty incredible.

The Wolverines return their leading rusher from lasts season in De’Veon Smith.  He carried the ball 180 times for 753 yards and 6 touchdowns.

Michigan did lose their starting quarterback Jake Rudock, though.  That means they are likely to start a quarterback who hasn’t seen much if any, college football action.

This is one area that Illinois could pray on.  If they can get to the new quarterback then they might have a chance at winning this game.

But, Michigan does return their two leading wide receivers from last season who combined for over 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns.

I think Illinois hangs tough for a while but big De’Veon Smith takes charge and probably has a big game on the ground.
