Big Ten Basketball Coach Rankings
When someone mentions Nebraska I always head straight to their football program. But, believe it or not, they also have a basketball program as well.
Illinois Fighting Illini
Tim Miles comes in at No. 11 on the list of top Big Ten basketball coaches.
Miles has been at the helm for four years now and really hasn’t done much to develop the program into a national contender.
Over the last three season span, Nebraska actually did make the NCAA Tournament, but they have failed to do much else.
They also don’t have any reasoning for being as bad as they have been.
Last season, the Cornhuskers finished with a 16-18 record and the year before they only managed to hit the 13 win mark.
This team isn’t winning and that is why Miles is so low on the list. The only reason he is not in the bottom three is because of his postseason berth.
Miles also hasn’t been great on the recruiting front either. He has averaged a class of 60th in the nation the last three seasons and that is not a winning formula.
I don’t expect Nebraska to contend for a postseason berth under Miles for a long time.
