The Rutgers football team has been a head scratcher at times. I feel like they are a good program who could dominate the east coast.
One must not stray away from the facts, though. Rutgers finished the 2015 season with a record of 4-8 and failed to make a bowl game for the first time in five seasons.
Former head coach Kyle Flood was ousted as the leader of the program and in steps Chris Ash.

Ash has zero head coaching experience at the college or NFL level. He started his career as a graduate assistant with Drake and moved up from there.
Before coming to Rutgers he was the co-defensive coordinator for the Ohio State Buckeyes. This is a good job but you still don’t have head coaching experience.
Ash is stepping into a position that is quite tough. This team only won four games last season and they lost their No. 1 wide receiver Leonte Carroo.
Ash hasn’t proved that he belongs as a head coach and doesn’t have experience. You couple that with losing their No. 1 wide receiver and a tough schedule that is a recipe for a No. 13 ranking.
