The No. 3 head coach on this list has been in the headlines a lot lately.  Michigan had been in a downward spiral for a few years because they couldn’t figure out their coaching situation.

This coaching situation has now been figured out with the hiring of NFL head coach Jim Harbaugh.

Harbaugh came into the Michigan program and woke a sleeping giant.  This program has the potential to be great.

Leading up to Harbaugh taking over, the Wolverines had only seen one double-digit winning season in the eight years previous.

The first season Harbaugh was at the helm for Michigan they finished with a 10-3 record and high hopes for the future.  They also managed to win the Citrus Bowl last season over the Florida Gators.

Harbaugh has also been a nightmare on the recruiting trail.  His first true recruiting class ranked 6th in the nation and he is already scooping up players for future classes.

I think Harbaugh being in the No. 3 spot right now is appropriate, but he could easily move up if the Wolverines continue to improve.
