The Wisconsin Badgers have been the gold standard for stability in both college football and basketball.  Their football program has been quite impressive.

In 2014, the Badgers went through a coaching change when Gary Andersen took a job with another program. This left Wisconsin without a head coach.

They were quick to act and scooped up Pittsburgh’s head coach, Paul Chryst.

Wisconsin wasn’t bad before Chryst took over but with him at the Helm they did drop slightly.  They still won 11 games last year and also won the Holiday Bowl over USC.

Chryst is in the No. 6 spot not because he isn’t a top level coach, which that is still to be determined, but because the coaches above him are just slightly better.

The recruiting hasn’t really dropped off for Chryst either.  In his first recruiting class, he managed to pull in the 24th best class in the nation.

This recruiting ability will help keep the Badgers toward the top of the Big Ten for years to come.

Chryst is the No. 6 coach in the Big Ten and I feel like this number can go either way depending on how Wisconsin does in the next couple of years.
