Illinois Basketball: Illini Recruiting Wish List

There are many players that the Illinois basketball team is pursuing to build their program in the future.

The span of talent and the depth of each class can enable any program to become a contender instantly.  That is the goal of the Illini.

Illinois has missed the NCAA Tournament the past three seasons.  There have been many reasons for the faltering and one of the reasons is because of recruiting.

The John Groce era has the trend of being in the hunt for big-time recruits but always ending up being the second best team.  They can’t pull in the big fish.

Hopefully, all of this will change and Illinois will start picking up some big time players.  They are in the running for these players and I think it is possible for the team to be great soon.

When I see recruits thinking about Illinois, I continue to wish that they would commit today and make the team great when they come to Champaign.

So, I wanted to make a wish list for the Illinois basketball team in the future.  This wish list will contain recruits for the next two or three years.
