December 16, 2000; Illinois vs. Arizona (Bradford Breaks 3-Point Record)

Throughout the years, the Illinois basketball team has produced extremely talented shooters that have scored a vast amount of points.

In the early 2000’s, shooting guard Cory Bradford was one of those great players.  He could nail a big shot from just about anywhere on the court.

On December 16, 2000, Bradford added onto his legend status in Illini history when he set the record for most consecutive games hitting a three-point shot.

At the time, Bradford hit a three-pointer against the No. 7 Arizona Wildcats in an 81-73 victory.  This was his 74th consecutive game with a three-pointer.

Bradford would go on to extend the streak to 88 consecutive games with a three-pointer.  He was one of the best shooters I have ever seen.

That game against Arizona where Bradford broke the record would have been a special game to attend.
