Jordan Goodwin (St. Louis Eagles)

The No. 1 recruit that I want the Illinois basketball team to snag for 2017 is guard Jordan Goodwin.

Goodwin is a superstar and one of the best players in the class of 2017.  He will be great at the college level and I just hope it is with the Illini.

The final list of visits hasn’t come out for Goodwin yet, but I believe Illinois will be on that list.  They are a team he has loved since day one.

More from Writing Illini

Over the last half year, Goodwin has been receiving more and more attention because of the way he has played.

In the EYBL, he has averaged 17 PPG, 10.2 RPG, and 3.5 APG.  These are stats that not many can match in this league.

Goodwin says he plays like LeBron as far as style is concerned, and honestly, I would have to agree.  He does everything and that is someone I want in Champaign.
