Tim Finke (St. Louis Eagles)

The St. Louis Eagles went from being an AAU team that didn’t have much to do with Illinois basketball, to a team that potentially has three players heading to Champaign.

Tim Finke will hopefully be a future Illini player.  He would be an addition to the class of 2018 and a talented one at that.

In session three, Finke saw a lot of minutes in all four games the Eagles played.

Finke played 17 minutes in the first game and dropped 6 points and 3 rebounds.  He didn’t play well but the team still managed to win.

In game two, Finke played 19 minutes and scored 5 points and added 3 rebounds.  Once again the production wasn’t there but the team was still victorious.

Finke didn’t play well in the first two games and he continued that in the final two games as well.

Finke only managed to put up 5 points in game three and 8 points in game five.

It makes me happy that Finke isn’t afraid to shoot because he is a shooter.  The one worry I do have is that Finke hasn’t been shooting well.

But, like many great shooters, he might just be on a cold streak.  I am sure he will break that and get back on track.

Finke is an exciting player and hopefully, Groce and company can secure his commitment down the road.
