Theo John (Howard Pulley)

The AAU team Howard Pulley has the best record in the EYBL. They are 10-0 on the season and a big reason they are doing so well is because of center Theo John.

John is a 6-foot-10 beast who is being tracked hard by the Illini.  He played well in this session of the EYBL as well.

In game one, John played 19 minutes.   He dropped 7 points and 5 rebounds in the minutes he played.

More from Writing Illini

John didn’t play much in game two.  He only saw 9 minutes of game action scoring 2 points and grabbing another 4 rebounds.

The final two games of the session had more minutes in store for John.  He played 25 minutes and 28 minutes in games three and four, respectively.

John almost pulled off a double-double in both games three and four.  He had 12 points and 8 rebounds against California Supreme in game three.

This performance was the best of John’s EBYL season.  He then topped that by scoring 14 points and adding 7 rebounds in game four.

Illinois is missing the rebounding and scoring element in their centers.  This is what John would bring to the team and hopefully he chooses the Illini.
