Top 10 Recruiting Class

In Both football and basketball, recruiting for the Illini has been tough over the last decade.  Getting a top ten recruiting class in both sports is pretty difficult.

The most likely program to get a top ten class is the basketball team.

In basketball recruiting, if you get a 5-star or a few 4-star recruits then you are a top class.  Illinois could do this relatively soon.

The Illini failed to crack the top ten in 2016, but the class of 2017 still has a lot of potential to be a great class.

Illinois is in the hunt for talented guard Jordan Goodwin.  He has the basketball talent to play just about every position on the floor.  That type of player is needed greatly.

The Illini also have point guard Da’Monte Williams and shooting guard Javon Pickett coming in for the class of 2017.  Both of these players are going to be great additions to the team in 2017.

Illinois really only has to add a few more talented players to the class of 2017 to become a top ten recruiting class.  I think that is still in the realm of possibility but they have to close strong in the next few months.
