Alonzo Verge (Meanstreets)

Alonzo Verge is a recruit that not many people are talking about but could end up being a main staple in the Illinois basketball lineup.

Verge isn’t highly rated but has impressed me so far in the EYBL.  He has averaged 7.3 PPG, 2.3 RPG and 3.3 APG.

Illinois needs more depth at the point guard position and that is something they have been missing for years now.

I think Verge would be a great pickup and I can’t wait to see how he continues to develop throughout the summer.

Nojel Eastern (Meanstreets)

Nojel Eastern is another recruit not a lot of people are talking about right now.  He is a guard that has the ability to put up points but also can go and get rebounds.

Eastern averaged 10.7 PPG and 4.3 RPG in session one of the EYBL.  I look for him to continue to improve through the rest of the AAU season.

Illinois has lacked great rebounding ability for the last four or five seasons now.  They need some hustle guys that can go get a board when need be.  That man could be Eastern.
