The Illinois basketball team is casting a wide net over a good deal of recruits for 2017.

A lot of those talented players play basketball after their high school season has ended.  This weekend there some AAU basketball tournaments going on with a lot of Illini targets in the mix.

These players that Illinois is pursuing will have a chance to improve the basketball team immensely in the future.

I expect to see some great games from multiple tournaments this weekend.

The players that Illinois is targeting are from various positions.  They also play for various teams around the country.

There are three main tournaments that all of these players will be playing this weekend.

The first tournament is the Nike EYBL.  The session two for this tournament is held in Indianapolis, Indiana from April 22-24.

The next tournament is the NY2LA 2016 Lone Star Invitational.  This will also be held from April 22-24.  They are playing this event in Dallas, Texas.

The final event is the Adidas Uprising 2016 Gauntlet Series.  It will be played on April 22-24 in Atlanta, Georgia.

All of these tournaments bring experience and challenges that these kids need to develop into college basketball players.

Here are the players Illinois fans should watch out for this weekend.
