WR Micah Jones

Next: Wyatt Blake

The Illinois football team hasn’t really had a great offense in quite some time but I can’t say the same about the quality of wide receivers.

Illinois has a history of producing solid wide receivers that have gone on to play in the NFL.  The next great pass catcher could be Micah Jones.

Jones is another player that Illinois needs to secure and has great momentum to do so.

This past weekend Jones visited the campus and had a chance to feel the new vibes of the Illini.  He liked his time in Champaign and had a great feeling about what is happening.

"“It was one of the best visits,” Jones said.  “It was great to see the campus with Caleb and Jalin (Tolbert) and then talk to some of the other recruits.  Micah (Awodiran) was real cool and the other major recruits there were real cool too.”"

Illinois is looking at Jones because he is an extremely talented player from the state of Illinois.  He currently has five scholarship offers and a good amount of great teams looking at him.

The Illini are going to need some wide receivers for 2018.  They currently have 9 wide receivers on their roster but 6 of those pass catchers will have departed by the time Jones would come in.

There is going to be plenty of room for a player of Jones’ caliber to come in and dominate year one.
