WR Justin Hardee

Next: WR Desmond Cain

The No. 2 wide receiver for the Illini this season is projected to be Justin Hardee.  We haven’t seen this talented wide receiver in quite some time but he is poised to have a great year.

Last season we didn’t get to see Hardee perform on the field because he had to deal with a broken foot that kept him out the entire year.

More from Writing Illini

Leading up to the missed season Hardee was starting to really increase his production.

Hardee’s freshman year he had 17 receptions for 192 yards.  He followed that up with a sophomore season that seen him catch 11 passes for 95 yards.

The junior year for Hardee was his best.  He caught 19 passes for 240 yards and one touchdown.

Hardee is now entering his senior season after getting a medical redshirt.  He is looking to be a top wide receiver for the Illinois football team and he can do that if health is on his side.

I look for Hardee to see a decent amount of snaps with a rotation of a deep wide receiver core behind him.  He should probably be around 30 receptions for 350 yards and three touchdowns this season.
