The class of 2013 produced one of the best offensive linemen we have had on the roster in the last decade.

Christian DiLauro came out of the class of 2013 with hopes of being a great player.  He was a 3-star recruit that had a scholarship offer from Illinois and Akron.

DiLauro came out of high school a little undersized for an offensive lineman.  He was being recruited as a tight end, but he then moved over to the offensive line when he stepped foot in Champaign.

In his first season with the Illini DiLauro redshirted to put on some size and hone his craft a little more.  He was building up to what would end up being a solid career at Illinois.

DiLauro entered his redshirt freshman campaign with hopes of earning a starting spot eventually.  He developed in a great offensive lineman that year and played in 12 games and started in seven of those.

That year DiLauro also earned Big Ten All-Freshman team honors.

Last season DiLauro started at right tackle and helped lead the Illini to a great season on the ground and through the air.

DiLauro is now returning for his junior season and is slotted as the starting right tackle once again.  He is poised to help Illinois reach new heights on the offensive side of the ball.
