Jaylon Tate is going through a similar situation as Nunn as well.  He is being charged with punching his girlfriend in the face.

The Tate situation is different than the Nunn situation.

While the police say there was evidence that something happened to her, there was no clear way to determine if Tate had done this to her.

A few days later Tate’s attorney says he received two emails that were from the victim recanting her story.

The story coming from the Tate party is that the women came to the party and was asked to leave because they were intoxicated.  She left the party and witnesses say that there was nothing wrong with the female.

Sometime between then and when she called police is when she received the marks on her face.

Once again the legal process has to work itself out and no one is guilty until everything is hammered out by the court of law.

But in this situation, in my opinion, it feels like nothing is matching up and the woman apparently is taking back what she told police.

If all of this is true, I think Tate returns next season unlike Nunn.  Every case is different and I think this case might come out with Tate still a member of the Illini.
