The 4 years Groce has been with the Illini they have not met expectations. They have only made 1 NCAA Tournament and have missed out on some big time recruits.
But not everything with Groce is bad. He is a players’ coach and they seem to really go out and give it their all night after night for him this season. This team isn’t quitting despite having a dismal record.
Groce also has the potential to bring in some solid recruits in the future recruiting classes.
There is no arguing that the Illini have been disappointing over the last 3 seasons. They have the talent to be special but everything just seems to go wrong.
I haven’t made up my mind whether I want Groce or if I want to move on. I was on the “fire Groce” train for a while but new information surfaces and it helps me see things clearer.
Along with that there are some great arguments made via social media as well.
