Next: Recruit #2

The Illinois football team should be decent in 2016.  This will have a lot to do with how good their offense will be.  If the Illini want to keep their offense playing at a high level they will need to wrangle in wide receiver Isaiah Robertson.

More from Writing Illini

According to Rivals, Robertson is a 4-star wide receiver that is the 160th best player in the class of 2017.  They also have him ranked as the 23rd best wide receiver and the 3rd best player in the state of Illinois.

Illinois has a nice stable of wide receivers heading into the 2016 season.  But going into 2017 they will be losing 3 out of the 9 wide receivers on the roster.  You also have to add in the 2 wide receivers that were brought in for the class of 2016 as well.

Illinois needs to start protecting their home state with big recruits like Robertson.  There will be plenty of playing time to go around and Illinois is a Big Ten school that has good academics.

All of these things are enticing and it is on the shoulders of Cubit and the coaching staff to show that the Illini are the way to go.
