The Big Ten has many players that can have a great performance any day of the week.  It takes true talent to put up big numbers against a college football program.  That is why I have created a top 5 list of Big Ten Heisman candidates.

Now, there are a lot of players to choose from.  There are quarterbacks who have thrown for hundreds of yards in the first week, but there are also running backs and wide receivers that have scored touchdowns like it is their job.

The race for the Heisman Trophy is always close and the Big Ten is usually represented in the ceremony pretty well.  I think this season we could see a member of the Big Ten represented again and it could be from a multitude of positions.

I wanted to put together a fluid list of the top 5 Big Ten Heisman Trophy candidates so you as a fan could see the layout of what might happen towards the end of the season.

Here are the top 5 players that are in the race for the Heisman Trophy after the first week of the season.
