The Illinois football season is nearing and it is time to look at the games that will sway the season either way.  These games are huge, not only for the Illinois football morale, but also for their fans to have a happy season.

Now we all know every game on the slate is important.  We want to win all of them and continue on and become victorious in the National Championship.  That only happens to one team though and while I highly doubt it; anything can happen.

There are some games that stand out to me for the Illinois football team.  These games are not necessarily against the best teams or the arch rivals.  These games might be because they are at a critical point in the season or they could be because we lost to them last season.

Illinois hasn’t been in the conversation for anything special over the last 8 years.  They have waned in mediocrity in that span of time, but times are changing.  There is a new sun rising over the horizon.

It is time to make Illinois football special again.  Head Coach Tim Beckman and his coaching staff are getting the building block via recruiting.  Now it is time to use those blocks to build a program.
