There might not be a bigger surprise in NFL Draft history for Illinois than Pierre Thomas. After going undrafted in 2007, Thomas was picked up by the Saints and the rest is history.
Jacksonville would love to have a running back like Thomas. Yes, they had MJD and didn’t achieve much, but Pierre Thomas is a different animal.
Thomas has never been “the #1 guy” in the backfield. He’d definitely be that in Jacksonville.
