The Illinois basketball roster will look different when 2018 rolls around.

The class of 2018 for the Illini could be quite special. As of right now, they only have three scholarships available for 2018 since Brad Underwood and his coaching staff signed five players for the class of 2017. This cut into what was available for the following season.

But, the players Underwood signed are going to help this team tremendously. He snagged a few big men and the trio of guards will lead this team to multiple NCAA tournament appearances. This team will be special with the players he signed in 2017.

Underwood is gaining momentum for the class of 2018 as well. There are multiple players who are on the Illini radar and some are even meeting with or have met with the coaching staff this month to discuss the future.

Getting a select few of these players will be extremely important for the future. And there is even a player who is on the rise that hasn’t blown up just yet. That one player is going to be crucial for the Illini as well. The class of 2018 will fit in nicely with the current lineup.

Here is what the Illini lineup would look like with the class of 2018 inserted.
