Illinois Basketball: Illini Recruits Nike EYBL Schedules This Weekend

The Illinois basketball team has many recruits in the Nike EYBL AAU circuit.

Keeping track of all of these big time players is important in determining who is going to be on the team in the future.

Here is a list of Illinois basketball recruits playing in the EYBL this weekend.

Alonzo Verge (Meanstreets)

An under-the-radar point guard that the Illini are keeping their eye on is Alonzo Verge.

Verge is a 3-star point guard that has done a solid job in helping the Meanstreets to a 6-5 record in the EYBL this season.

Illinois is targeting Verge as a potential addition for 2017.  He would bring a solid game to the team if he decides on coming to Champaign.

Right now, Verge is averaging 7.8 points per game in the 11 games played so far in the EYBL.  He is also averaging 2.3 rebounds per game and 2 assists per game as well.

Is Verge No. 1 on the Illini radar?  No, by no means should he be, but Verge has a game that is developing and hopefully through another year or so he will have progressed.
